Plus, all of the equipment - including hard-to-find accessories - would ship directly from the factory to the customer's door, eliminating the need for stores, warehouses and clueless clerks.
Power Equipment Direct streamlined the sales process and rewarded customers with factory-direct discounts and a sales tax-free guarantee on its vast selection of products.
Founder Jon Hoch, launched his first web store from his basement in 2003. The goal: To sell one pressure washer a week in order to make a car payment.
Several years and a couple of web stores later, Power Equipment Direct is one of the leading online power equipment e-tailers with millions of dollars in annual sales.
The company owns more than a dozen power equipment-related web addresses and plans to open more specialty superstores in the very near future.
The vast majority of power equipment products are shipped FREE to anywhere in the lower 48 states. Exceptions include some handheld lawn tools. For example, leaf blowers only ship free if they're priced above $249. The shipping rate charged will be quoted on each listing.
Accessories often ship separately from different manufacturers in different locations so we simply charge standard shipping rates on them. Smaller items are also available for Next Day Air and Two Day Air via FedEx for an additional charge dependent on the weight of the item.
Alaska, Hawaii, & US Territories
At this time we only ship to the lower 48 states. Shipment to Alaska, Hawaii, and any US Territory does not occur.
P.O. boxes & APO/FPO
We cannot ship orders to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses at this time.

In some rare instances, you may need some help with a return. Don't worry! The following information will help you process your return:
No returned merchandise will be accepted without a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Please call 1-800-710-7499 and speak with a customer solutions representative to obtain a RMA # and shipping instructions. We will credit you in the same manner as your original payment within 10 business days of receiving the returned item.
You may return any "unopened" products and accessories within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Simply contact our Customer Service team in order to discuss return options for unopened merchandise. Some products include free shipping, so if you return one of these products our actual outbound shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund. "Opened" products and accessories can be returned within 30 days of delivery*, but will be subject to a 25% restocking fee to cover testing, cleaning and repackaging expenses. Simply contact our Customer Service team in order to discuss return options for opened merchandise. Some products include free shipping, so if you return one of these products our actual outbound shipping costs will be deducted from your return refund. Opened returns must be in salable condition with original materials and packaging. * Engine powered equipment cannot be returned once it has been gassed or oiled due to federal shipping regulations. If the product has been gassed or oiled, it needs to be taken to an authorized service center for repair which may be covered under warranty.
An order that has shipped cannot be cancelled. If you refuse an order which has already been shipped, you will be responsible for both the outbound and return shipping costs which will be deducted from the refund.
You must take the time to inspect the goods before you sign the delivery receipt from the carrier. If you sign the delivery receipt without inspecting the shipment you will be responsible for filing a freight claim and arranging for a repair or return of the damaged goods. Concealed damage claims must be reported immediately.
On occasion, the outer carton may look damaged, but the product inside the box is perfectly fine. If you suspect concealed damage, notate "Possible Freight Damage" on the delivery receipt while the driver is present. This way, if you discover later that the product is damaged, the remedy of a freight claim is less of a hassle.

We encourage you to test your product within 15 days of receipt so we can quickly remedy any mechanical problems. If you think your product is defective, don't worry.
In most cases, it's a simple issue that can be resolved over the phone. You are also welcome to contact the manufacturer's customer service departments. They have expert technicians standing by to help solve your issue. Please have your model number and serial number available for fastest service.
