It all started at a backyard garage in Cleveland, Ohio. Phillip A. Geier created one of the world's first vacuum cleaner companies, the P. A. Geier Company in 1905. They crafted metal cleaners by hand for years. As the company grew, so did their operation. They soon launched two divisions. While they loved making vacuums the most, they also had a knack for mixers, hair dryers and washing machines.

By the time World War II came around, P.A. Geier rolled up their sleeves to join manufacturing companies across the country switching over to military production.

In 1953, P.A. Geier was bought up by the Walter E. Schott Organization. The Schotts renamed the company Royal Appliance Manufacturing. But they weren't absolutely committed and decided to dissolve Royal just as soon as they got it.

A group of Royal employees headed by Stan Erbor wanted a shot at the company in 1954. He got it, and the company thrived under his leadership, expanding all phases of operations in 1969. Erbor was active in the company until he passed in 1981 at age 80.

Enter Hoover
Straight out of 1981, a group of investors saw an opportunity to purchase Royal and to bring some fresh strategy to it. With this new leadership, sales skyrocketed from just under $5 million in 1981 to $408 million in 2000.

This original approach included aggressive marketing strategy and distribution into retail chains like Kmart and Wal-Mart.

In '84, Royal introduced a groundbreaking new cleaner, the Hoover® Hand Vac. It quickly became a huge hit, selling over 23 million units. This gave Hoover more room to roam the cleaning industry.

Today, Royal (now TTI Floor Care North America) manufactures Hoover uprights, quick cleaning hand vacs, stick vacuums, canister vacs, and carpet washers. These products are now sold through major retailers nationwide.

Shipping

Orders are usually processed and shipped 4-5 business days after the day your order is placed. Confirmation email will be sent with FedEx tracking number to the email address you've provided. Standard shipping time with FedEx is 1-6 Business Days. FedEx requires a physical street address for all shipments. General Shipping Information

Alaska, Hawaii, P.O. Boxes, APO or other military addresses. Hoover is unable to ship to these addresses. These addresses can still be used for Billing Address but you will need to ship to a different address.
Orders are usually shipped the day after the order is placed.
Shipment and delivery days are Monday through Friday, with the exception of national holidays.


Shipping Options

Hoover is able to ship to the Continental United States and all countries that are in eBay's Global Shipping Program.
Hoover ships free to the Continental United States with FedEx Ground.
At this time, the Hoover eBay Store is only able to ship FedEx Ground and FedEx Express Saver.

Returns

Exchanges/Returns

Products purchased directly from the Hoover eBay Store may be returned for credit within 14 days of the date of purchase.
Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing of a return.
Credits are issued via the payment method used for original purchase.
Beyond 14 days credits will only be issued when Hoover determines that the return is due to a mistake made on the original order by Hoover.
Products sent in to Hoover will not be returned to sender whether credit is issued or not.
Shipping charges are not credited.
Hoover does not reimburse postage/shipping charges to return product. Products returned "collect" or "COD" will not be accepted.
All international sales are final. We currently do not accept returns/exchanges for international returns. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
